Check Permissions and Network Issues in Topo

Overview

Problems such as missing cards, failed posting, stalled sharing, or missing notifications can often be narrowed down to permissions or connection state. This page summarizes the first checks to run.

What You Can Do

  • Review permissions for location, camera, photos, and notifications
  • Confirm the map area and card loading state
  • Recheck what to do when posting, publishing, or sharing stops
  • Troubleshoot notifications and Live Activity visibility

Steps

  1. If the map or nearby cards look wrong, check location permission and the current map center.
  2. If you cannot attach photos or videos, review camera and photo library access.
  3. If notifications do not arrive, check both the in-app settings and iPhone notification settings.
  4. If posting, publishing, or sharing stalls, retry while the app stays open on a stable connection.

Notes

  • Share preparation, especially for video, is more likely to stop when the network is unstable.
  • If there are few nearby cards, Topo may show cards from a farther place instead.
  • Some features require sign-in or a supported OS version.

If It Doesn’t Work

  • If the map does not match your location, re-enable location access and return to current location.
  • If sending or publishing fails, check drafts or reopen the card detail screen.
  • If notifications or Live Activity do not appear, review notification permission and related app settings.
