What Happens After You Post a Card?

Learn how public cards are shown, how they may trigger Scouter observations, and how contributors may appear on generated cards.

What Happens After You Post a Card?

Overview

When you post a card, your observation is saved to that place. If you post it as a public card, it may be shown to other users viewing nearby areas.

In v1.1, public cards may also act as local signals that prompt Scouter to observe topics around that place.

You May Contribute to Scouter Card Generation

If you continue posting public cards in the same area, or if multiple users post public cards in the same area on the same day, you may contribute to Scouter card generation.

Users who contributed may be shown on the generated Scouter card.

Updates Are Not Guaranteed or Immediate

A card may not appear on the map or in lists immediately after posting. It can take some time depending on network conditions and server processing.

Even when the conditions are met, Scouter does not always generate a card. If there is not enough information to observe, Scouter may end observation in that area and move elsewhere.
