Overview
Scouter may ask for clues through a card to help it observe a city. Answering these questions can improve Scouter’s observations and enrich local information. The questions can also help Scouter understand your interests and make more relevant observations.
Steps
- Open the detail for a card created by someone other than you.
- When A Question from Scouter appears, choose Yes or No for each prompt. If it asks you to confirm a place, choose Correct or correct the place on the map.
- Swipe through the questions and tap Submit at the end.
Things to Know
- Questions appear only when there are unanswered prompts for the card and its observation state. They do not appear on your own cards.
- You can submit without answering every question. Any prompt you do not select is treated as skipped.
- After you answer, the screen switches to a completed state. If the prompts are updated, reload the latest questions before answering again.
- Answers about personal preferences are handled privately. Answers used to improve a city or card are handled as aggregated information that does not identify you. Your individual answers never appear on a public card.
- Scouter may show a response after you submit. If a connection error prevents submission, follow the on-screen guidance and try again.
