What's New in Topo v1.1

Learn about the new Scouter, map heatmap, and public card updates introduced in Topo v1.1.

What’s New in Topo v1.1

Overview

Topo v1.1 updates the way you discover what is happening around a place.

The main changes are a heatmap on the map that shows signs of activity, a clearer presentation of Scouter, and more guidance around posting and public cards.

What You Can Do

  • Use the heatmap to find places where public cards and local topics tend to gather.
  • Use Scouter displays to discover topics and cards related to a place.
  • Public cards you post may become a signal that prompts Scouter to observe that area.
  • Some notifications can take you to related places or cards.

First Things to Check

When you first open Topo after updating, you may see a guide that introduces the new v1.1 experience. You can also use these support articles to review each feature later.

Notes

  • The heatmap does not publish your precise current location.
  • Seeing Scouter does not mean a card will always be generated or that a notification will always arrive.
  • Public cards and notifications may take some time to appear depending on network conditions and server processing.
